Motion graphic short tracing a coffee bean’s journey from seed to cup, animated from vector shapes with edited BGM and layered sound effects.
Project
Concept
This animated story follows a coffee bean through its lifecycle — from planting and harvesting to roasting and brewing — using a sequence of stylized scenes that morph smoothly from one moment to the next. The visuals are paced to match a composed musical bed and sound effects, turning technical steps of the coffee process into an approachable, cinematic micro-narrative.
I made the piece end-to-end through a pipeline that kept control and scalability central: I first drew the elements I wanted to use, then worked out how each screen would morph into the next so the story reads as a single fluid motion. I vectorized the storyboard in Illustrator and built all artwork as simple vector shapes so assets remain crisp at any scale. Finally, I stitched together BGM tracks, layered sound effects, imported the assets into After Effects, animated the sequence, and unified visuals and audio into a tight motion-graphics edit.
